Dr. Ahmed Walaa Abousheleib (Walaa A.Sheleib) was drawn to Rhinoplasty early in his career when his uncle Prof. Dr. Walaa Abousheleib, one of Egypt’s Rhinoplasty pioneers, mentored him during his residency training in Otolaryngology. Dr. Ahmed Walaa Obtained his Masters degree in Otolaryngology with a Masters Degree thesis discussing Functional Rhinoplasty entitled “Nasal Valve Area; Pathophysiological Aspects and Surgical Approaches’’.
Early in his career ,he had extensive Rhinoplasty training under tutelage of Prof. Dr. Hossam Foda, who is internationally recognized as one of the most globally renowned and talented Rhinoplasty surgeons.
Dr. Ahmed Walaa moved to the United States after his residency to start his journey there with Rhinoplasty and Facial plastic Surgery where he joined as a fellow at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, Rochester. During his stay in the United States, he was a visiting physician to world-renowned surgeons in Rhinoplasty and Facial Plastic Surgery:

Dr. Ahmed Walaa was granted his Medical Doctorate degree in Otorhinolaryngology. His Medical Doctorate thesis was in Collobration with Harvard Medical School under supervision of Dr. David Shaye (Division of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery) ,Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
His Medical Doctorate thesis was in one of the most challenging techniques in Rhinoplasty entitled ‘’Functional and Aesthetic outcomes after Extracorporeal Septoplasty‘’
Dr. Ahmed Walaa worked in Kuwait for two years in one of the busiest Rhinoplasty Centres in the Middle East with the foremost outstanding Rhinoplasty surgeon in the Gulf Area Dr. Khalid AlSebeih.
Dr. Ahmed Walaa then moved to Canada to have a Clinical Fellowship at Toronto East General Hospital (Michael Garron) affiliated with the prestigious University of Toronto, mentored by Dr. Oakley Smith, Toronto Skilled and experienced Rhinoplasty Surgeon to be the first and only Egyptian facial plastic surgeon to have a Clinical Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Fellowship under the auspices of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) that represents the finest post-graduate program in the world for the training of Facial Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Ahmed Walaa has been frequently invited as a Rhinoplasty Course Instructor in several Egyptian hospitals to give talks and perform rhinoplasty live surgeries.
